Liberation Group has been shortlisted for a prestigious industry award. The company could be named Regional Brewer of the Year at the Publican Awards - the brewing industry's equivalent of the Oscars.
Liberation Group is through to the final selection against some of the biggest names in the business including Batemans, St. Austell and Fullers, marking the company stand out as one of the best among regional brewers in the UK.
It's the second year running that Liberation Group have been announced in the shortlist for Regional Brewer of the Year. 2010 was a particularly good year for the company with more seasonal ales being added to the portfolio of products, a number of key acquisitions across the Channel Islands and the commission of key export orders for Liberation Ale to major pub chains such as JD Wetherspoon, Fullers, Wadsworths and Ember Inns.
Liberation Group Chief Executive Mark Crowther says: "The Publican Awards are the pinnacle of recognition for our industry. That a small regional brewer from the Channel Islands can rub shoulders with such companies as Fullers and Batemans is testimony to the excellence of our product and the hard work of our brewing team. As a company we have continued to invest and grow through a very difficult year. We would obviously love to win this award but to get to this stage is absolutely fantastic."
The awards will be announced at London's Grosvenor House Hotel on 6th April.
