Victor Hugo Wholesale - Jersey |
| Victor Hugo Wines was created when Ann Street Brewery, founded in 1871, having been for over a century primarily a beer focused company, realised the need to establish a much larger portfolio of wines and spirits so in 1980 their subsidiary company Victor Hugo Wines Limited was formed. |

Over the next two decades or so other companies were acquired or amalgamated within the business and these included Bath Street Wine Cellar, Bottles, G. Orange & Co., Ann Street Freetraders and also Bass to form the current business now called Victor Hugo Limited.
A number of changes took place within the company over the ensuing years and in July 2008 a management buy out led by Mark Crowther took the company forward alongside its sister company in Guernsey, Bucktrout and Company Ltd. and 65 tied pubs within the Channel Islands under the name of The Liberation Group.
