The Jersey Brewery (the home of Mary Ann beers) in one form or another has been part of island life for well over a century, and the unique Mary Ann beers it produces can truly be called, "Genuine Jersey " products. The brewery's beers are part of Jersey's rich history/ heritage , brewing continued during the German occupation and the first world war, and by the 1970's Mary Ann was known as " The beer's that made Jersey Famous ".
Now after a short absence the famous mysterious Mary Ann name has returned, however the international award winning Mary Ann Best Bitter and Mary Ann Special have rigidly remained consistent in their quality and flavour.
Mary Ann Best Bitter 3.6% is a gold medal winning brew which uses the finest roast chocolate malt to produce a deep ruby coloured beer with a distinct hop aroma.
Mary Ann Special 4.5% uses the premium pale ale malt Maris Otter, this gives the beer its blonde colour, whilst the fuggle and golding hops produce the floral fresh taste.
Head brewer and proud Jerseyman is Paul Hurley, he and his team at the new state of the art Jersey Brewery at Longueville St Saviour, use their local expertise to ensure that every pint which leaves the brewery will be fresher than those that are imported from the UK. The beers are available in the forty plus Liberation Group pubs on the island and also in free houses and most hotels.
